Uplifting Black Students: Addressing the N Word- The use of the N word on our school campuses has become widespread.  In this presentation, we explore the historical use of the word, the differing opinions about the use of the term, having courageous conversations, our responsibility to respond fairly and seriously to incidents involving use of the N-word, our district’s policy about the use of hate speech, acknowledging when people have been hurt and engaging in restorative practices to promote healing.
