School Site Council

Every school with a County District School (CDS) code assigned by the California Department of Education (CDE) shall establish a School Site Council (SSC) as the decision-making council for all programs funded through the Consolidated Application (Con App). The districts receiving federal, state and other applicable funding are required to develop a School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). 

SSC Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and approve the SPSA. This includes proposed expenditure of funds
  • Respond to ELAC’s written advice on EL Programs and services related to the SPSA within 30 calendar days or at the next SSC meeting
  • Develop and approve the school-level Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy (PFEP).
  • Develop and approve the Title I School-Parent Compact
  • Develop and approve the Title I parent involvement budget

Cada escuela con un código del Distrito Escolar del Condado (CDS, por sus siglas en inglés) asignado por el Departamento de Educación de California (CDE) deberá establecer un Consejo Escolar del Plantel (SSC, por sus siglas en inglés) como el consejo de toma de decisiones para todos los programas financiados a través de la Solicitud Consolidada (Con App). Los distritos que reciben fondos federales, estatales y otros fondos aplicables están obligados a desarrollar un Plan Escolar para el Rendimiento Académico del Estudiante (SPSA, por sus siglas en inglés).

Responsabilidades del SSC:

  • Desarrollar, revisar y aprobar el SPSA. Esto incluye la propuesta de gastos de fondos.

  • Responder por escrito a las recomendaciones del ELAC sobre los programas y servicios para estudiantes del idioma inglés relacionados con el SPSA dentro de los 30 días calendario o en la siguiente reunión del SSC.

  • Desarrollar y aprobar la Política de Participación de Padres y Familias a nivel escolar para Título I (PFEP, por sus siglas en inglés).

  • Desarrollar y aprobar el Compromiso Escuela-Padres para Título I

  • Desarrollar y aprobar el presupuesto de participación de padres para Título I
