🚨 NEWS UPDATE: Roosevelt High School to Reopen Monday, January 13 🚨

Roosevelt High School will resume normal operations on Monday, January 13, following a districtwide closure due to recent wildfires and hazardous weather conditions. Los Angeles Unified has confirmed that conditions have significantly improved across the region, making it safe for students and staff to return to campuses.

In preparation for reopening, the District has considered a range of safety factors, including improved air quality, fire containment, road accessibility, and campus readiness. As a precautionary measure, Roosevelt High School and other open campuses will operate on a full inclement weather schedule, which will limit outdoor and athletic activities for the time being. Additionally, masks will be made available for students and staff.

The District has expressed gratitude to first responders, local authorities, and school staff who worked tirelessly to clean and prepare schools for reopening. LAUSD officials are closely monitoring conditions in high-impact areas, including schools that remain under evacuation orders. These campuses will remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay informed by visiting lausd.org for the latest updates.

Roosevelt High School remains committed to supporting our students and families as we transition back to school. Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding during this time.
