Roosevelt High School Welcomes New Principal, Dr. Jose Morales

Theodore Roosevelt High School is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jose Morales as its new principal. Dr. Morales brings with him 20 years of experience within LAUSD, including seven years as a school principal.

For the past six years, Dr. Morales has been a part of Region East, where he began as a parent coach and most recently served as the principal of Stevenson Middle School. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his commitment to equity, student achievement, and cultivating meaningful relationships with families and the community.

Beyond his work in education, Dr. Morales has a fun creative side. He enjoys curating music playlists and has put together more than 20 collections across different genres.

Roosevelt High School is excited to welcome Dr. Morales to the Rough Rider family. His leadership, experience, and energy will help inspire greatness in our students, staff, and community.
