The G.E.M.S. (Girls Empowering in Modern Society) is here to empower ourselves, and the community by providing the access and information to the means for self-determination through higher education, consciousness and sisterhood. We strive to build a safe space for a united community which can move forward in dialoguing and striving for equality in all its aspects, and deconstructing strict notions of gender. This organization’s purpose is to empower young women to be leaders in our society.
