Welcome to the Roosevelt High School Music Department

The Roosevelt High School Music Department offers a dynamic and engaging environment for students to explore, develop, and showcase their musical talents. Our department is dedicated to providing high-quality music education to students at all levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. With a focus on building strong musicianship, creativity, and discipline, we prepare our students for success both in and outside of the classroom.

Our Programs

The Music Department at Roosevelt High School offers a wide range of programs designed to cater to different interests, talents, and skill levels. Our courses provide a solid foundation in music theory, performance, and technology, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded music education.

 

Band Program

Our Band Program offers students the chance to explore various genres of music and participate in both individual and group performances. Whether you are new to playing an instrument or have years of experience, there’s a place for you in our band program.

  • Marching Band: Perform at school events, including football games, parades, and pep rallies.
  • Concert Band: A more formal ensemble focusing on classical and contemporary band music.
 

Choir Program

Our Choir Program encourages students to explore vocal music through a variety of genres, from classical to contemporary. Students develop vocal techniques, music reading skills, and perform as a group at school and community events.

  • Beginning Choir: For students new to choral music, focusing on fundamental vocal techniques and music literacy.
  • Advanced Choir: For experienced singers, focusing on more complex choral pieces and harmonization.
 

Mariachi Program

Our Mariachi Program offers students the opportunity to explore the rich tradition of mariachi music. This program provides an introduction to both vocal and instrumental performance, and students learn a variety of classic mariachi songs.

 

Music Production Program

The Music Technology Program at Roosevelt High School introduces students to the world of digital music production. Using industry-standard software and equipment, students create, record, and produce their own music, gaining practical skills in sound engineering and production.

  • Music Production: Learn the basics of digital music production and sound engineering.
  • Audio Engineering: Focus on technical skills for recording and mixing music using various technologies.
